Home laboratory test
4-in-1 test for man or woman – Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomonas and Mycoplasma genitalium (treatment included if the test is positive)
About this 4-in-1 test
The 4-in-1 test from ahmedlab.shop. Easily test yourself anally or orally (throat) for 4 types of STIs: Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomonas, and Mycoplasma.
In today’s society, discreet and reliable testing for sexually transmitted infections such as Chlamydia and Gonorrhea is essential, but often a source of concern. Many people postpone testing due to fear of stigma, the inconvenience of visiting a doctor, or concerns about privacy.
Trichomonas and Mycoplasma are becoming increasingly common. Because their symptoms are almost identical to those of Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, it is very useful to test for them as well with this 4-in-1 test.
Our home test offers a powerful solution. This test is designed to provide you with maximum privacy and comfort through a simple at-home sampling method. With specific kits for vaginal, urethral, anal, and oral samples, you can quickly and easily collect a sample yourself. All of this takes place completely discreetly, without the need to visit a clinic or STI center or share personal details.
Our test kits are not only user-friendly but also deliver reliable and accurate results, giving you clarity about your sexual health within a few days. Analysis and authorization are performed by a qualified medical microbiologist. The ability to act quickly based on the test results can be essential for both treatment and peace of mind. Specially developed for those who value their privacy, health, and time, our home test is the ideal choice to gain certainty about your health status, whenever and wherever it suits you.
If you test positive for Chlamydia and/or Gonorrhea, Trichomonas, or Mycoplasma, treatment is included in the price. This is offered as an extra service by ahmedlab.shop if you cannot or do not want to go through your own doctor. Treatment can be requested after the laboratory result via ahmedlab.shop. For Chlamydia, medication can be requested online; for Gonorrhea (which requires antibiotics via injection), Trichomonas, and Mycoplasma, we refer you to STI treatment centers in The Hague, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Groningen.

Read all instructions carefully before starting.
Use the provided swab to take a sample from the area to be tested (vagina, throat, and/or anus) or, for men, by collecting urine. You will receive a pipette and a urine tube for this purpose.
Send the sample to our laboratory in the prepaid return box. This can be done by handing it in at a postal point or dropping it in the mailbox (also valid in Belgium).
Keep the code card with your unique anonymous code. You will need this to request your result via ahmedlab.shop.
Results are usually available within 1 to 2 working days after the sample is received at our laboratory.
Symptoms
Symptoms in men
Although many men do not experience symptoms with Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomonas, or Mycoplasma, regular testing is crucial to prevent the unnoticed spread of infection. Possible symptoms in men include:
Pain or burning sensation when urinating
Unusual or increased discharge from the penis
Painful or swollen testicles, sometimes only on one side
Anal pain, itching, or bleeding with an anal infection
Sore throat in case of an oral infection
Symptoms in women
Women can also be asymptomatic, which increases the risk of severe complications without timely diagnosis. Possible symptoms in women include:
Pain when urinating, often described as a burning sensation
Increased or unusually smelling vaginal discharge
Painful sexual intercourse
Bleeding between periods or after sexual intercourse
Anal pain, itching, or discharge with an anal infection
Sore throat in case of an oral infection
If left untreated, infections such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Trichomonas can lead to more serious reproductive and general health issues, such as pelvic inflammatory disease in women or infertility in both sexes.
Information about Mycoplasma
Mycoplasma is a bacterium that can be contracted through, among other things, unprotected sex. Women infected with Mycoplasma may experience symptoms such as changed discharge, burning sensation when urinating, abdominal pain, pain during sex, and bleeding after sexual contact. Men with a Mycoplasma infection may experience pain or burning when urinating and discharge from the penis. After some time, symptoms in both men and women may disappear on their own, along with the infection. Therefore, treatment is often not necessary.

FAQ How reliable is the test?
The STI tests are highly sensitive and highly specific. High sensitivity means that the STI can be detected even when only a small number of bacteria are present. In science, a sensitivity and specificity of 95% is considered very high.
Below is an overview of the specificity and sensitivity of our STI tests:
Chlamydia trachomatis: Sensitivity 100% (99.4 – 100.0) Specificity 99.8% (99.0 – 100.0)
Neisseria gonorrhoeae: Sensitivity 100% (99.4 – 100.0) Specificity 99.8% (99.1 – 100.0)
Trichomonas vaginalis: Sensitivity 95.3% (93.0 – 97.0) Specificity 100% (99.0 – 100.0)
The ranges in parentheses indicate the variation in sensitivity and specificity.
Can I take the test during menstruation?
You can test for STIs even while menstruating. This does not affect the test result. However, please remove your tampon or menstrual cup before taking the test.
What should I do if I test positive?
If you receive a positive result, you can contact us via email: info@ahmedlab.shop. We provide free treatment through specialized doctors.
Is repeat testing necessary?
Repeat testing may be recommended if there are new or ongoing risks.
Can this test detect other STIs?
No, this test is specifically for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomonas, and Mycoplasma. We also offer blood tests for HIV, Hepatitis B, and Syphilis.
